You may have read that obesity is a serious problem for many. You probably also know that obesity leads to some very real health problems. What you probably don’t realize is just how serious the problem of obesity really is.
It’s easy to think of obesity as a problem faced mainly by the aging populations of developed countries, but the facts don’t bear that out. The truth is that obesity is a worldwide problem. It affects those living in developing countries as well as those who live in developed countries.
And obesity doesn’t just affect adults. In 2010, there were over 40 million overweight children in the world.
